Calgary, Alberta — August 22, 2026 — 6ix String Manufacturing Inc., Canada’s guitar string manufacturer, is pleased to announce that ProSpec Strings of Montréal, Quebec is now an authorized 6ix String retail partner, bringing Canadian-made 6ix String electric and acoustic guitar strings to players in Quebec and across Canada.
Based in Montréal, ProSpec Strings is an online retailer with an exceptionally broad, carefully curated catalogue of premium, specialty and hard-to-find strings and accessories. Founded by longtime music-industry veteran Wayne Vallis, ProSpec has become a destination for players looking beyond the handful of string brands normally found on a music-store wall.
With the largest selection of international guitar strings in Canada, ProSpec is a natural home for a premium Canadian-made string.

For 6ix String, the partnership represents more than another retail channel.

6ix String strings are made in small batches using precision winding equipment and are individually inspected before leaving the Calgary shop. The company produces electric, acoustic and specialty strings, along with custom gauges and constructions for players with requirements that standard factory sets do not address.
